What’s up in Delaware with Governor Meyer?
Dear Friends,
A few Delaware Tidbits:
“Conflict with the legislature: Meyer’s relationship with Delaware’s Democratic-controlled legislature has been described as “rocky at best” during his first nine months in office. Legislative leaders have complained about a lack of communication from his office and his approach to governing. Tensions have involved issues like appointments to the Port of Wilmington board and disagreements over marijuana retail regulations.
- In August 2024, Meyer held a news conference to criticize democrat Hall-Long’s “nearly decade-long illegal conduct” and called for a federal investigation by the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office.
- An audit found that Hall-Long had failed to properly disclose campaign loans and spending, a misdemeanor in Delaware, but the state election commissioner decided not to pursue criminal charges.
- Meyer’s aggressive challenge to the party-favored candidate and his decision to openly call out what he considered corruption was not typical for Delaware politics and created animosity. Indeed big outside money came into Meyer’s Campaign helping him prevail.
No current credible accusations of personal illegal activity
While the Hall-Long campaign finance dispute was a significant controversy, it is important to distinguish it from any personal wrongdoing by Governor Meyer. As of October 2025, search results do not indicate any criminal investigations or credible public accusations of personal illegal activity against Governor Meyer. He is, however, still navigating a challenging political landscape with leaders in his own party. THERE ARE RUMBLINGS OF SOME ILLEGAL ACTIVITY FROM SOME REPUBLICANS?????
The Democratic Governor Fighting With His Own Party-Sep 24, 2025 — Delaware Gov. Matt Meyer beat his party’s favored candidate in last year’s primary. He’s still finding his footing with his amazing election.”
FYI: 84% of felony gun crime is dismissed annually by Meyer’s AG Kathy Jennings. In my view– They just want the narrative to take your fundamental rights as a citizen which is typical of Delaware !
That’s what I know —-STAY Tuned !
Yours truly,
