Coinbase President and Chief Operating Officer Says “Activist Judge” Drove Company Out of Delaware

Dear Friends,

Companies have been leaving Delaware and your Coastal Network is tracking companies leaving Delaware, and we have a bold statement from Emilie Choi, President and Chief Operating Officer of Coinbase: “We frankly didn’t want to be in a place where rules could be subverted by an activist judge, when shareholders had voted for something else.”

She’s talking about Chancery Court Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick as the “activist judge.” She’s also talking

about the Tesla and Elon Musk ruling, which we’ve covered quite a bit here on your Coastal Network. At the same time, she’s taking aim at the Delaware judicial system, holding them accountable as to why companies are leaving Delaware in droves.

Respectfully Yours,
